Weekend Round Up..What I Wore in the Cook Islands…

IMG_1564A tropical island calls for a whole different wardrobe…casual, easy breezy and light fresh colours..The island of Rarotonga is a stunning, warm, sunny super casual place..so with that in mind..one needs to pack the must have item for any holiday..the caftan.

DSC04059Lazing on the beach : This pink and white stripey number is from Zimmerman..it has long sleeves to protect from the sun, but is a really light cotton so it breathes and dries quickly if wet and it has a hood too, which is kinda cool..

DSC04060Teamed with a classic straw hat, my new Polarised Ray Bans, bought duty free at Auckland International..and it’s Mai Tai Time..

DSC04296Glass Bottom Snorkel Tour: We spent the day on a boat, island hopping, swimming and snorkelling, so its important to wear something that keeps you covered, but is easily removed to jump off a boat and swim.

This caftan is open, and almost vest like, and the colours are perfect against the tropical surrounds. Its from Seafolly..and I really love it. You can let it slip off your shoulders and still catch some rays, while covering the mummy tummy. Perfecto!

DSC04279The good thing about this caftan, is you can dress it up for night time wear as well. Add a boob tube, shorts, a summer wedge heel, hoop earrings and you can hit up the bars in this tropical day to night outfit..

IMG_1547Great holiday, good memories..Thank you Cook Islands..
